Alice eventually transitioned into administration, but she was a skilled teacher and her first-grade students consistently left her classroom reading at a fifth-grade level. She also served on numerous boards and committees uplifting education and the arts, reinforcing her passion for fostering creativity and knowledge in young minds.
- This scholarship aims to honor Alice M. Williams and her unwavering commitment to education by supporting students who are pursuing higher education.
- Any high school senior or four-year undergraduate student with at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re pursuing a field related to education, arts, or cultural literacy and if they have volunteering experience and active involvement in community service or extracurricular activities.
