Who Can Apply:
- William (Bill) Sullivan was a beloved husband, father, and friend to many who passed away in February 2006 at the young age of fifty.
- Bill was a man deeply committed to his community and family. A proud alumnus of Chaminade High School (1973), Ithaca College (1977), and St. John’s Law School (1980), he went on to become the President of the law firm of Sullivan, Rowley and Sullivan in Bellmore, New York. Beyond his professional achievements, he dedicated countless hours to enriching the lives of others, serving actively as a Boy Scout pack leader and softball coach for his children’s activities.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the legacy of William T. Sullivan by supporting a student who embodies his spirit of community involvement.
- Any high school senior from New York state may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they will attend a two or four-year college and if they have volunteering experience. However, applicants from Huntington, New York, are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants should show a clear commitment to making a positive impact on their communities, whether through dedicated volunteering, active involvement in school and extracurricular activities, or by demonstrating strong character in other ways.
