- The scholarship is open to undergraduate students at any stage of their college journey who are pursuing or preparing for a career in medicine. Its goal is to help reduce financial barriers while encouraging students who demonstrate dedication, ambition, and a passion for improving health outcomes in their communities.
- Through this scholarship, an HBCU alumnus seeks to reinvest in HBCU students who aspire to become physicians and healthcare leaders. By supporting undergraduate students during their academic development, the scholarship aims to strengthen the pipeline of talented individuals entering the medical field. Recipients will be selected based on the overall strength of their application, including academic achievement, demonstrated commitment to medicine, clarity of goals, and the quality of their essay responses.
