Who Can Apply:
- Alex D. Sharpless II attended Eastern Wayne High School in Goldsboro, NC, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He attended college, majoring in Business Management and Information Technology. Unfortunately, at 21, his life was taken by homicide.
- Alex was blessed with many talents. He excelled in athletics, playing varsity football, basketball and ran track for EWHS. He led the football team to regional finals and his passion for the game and respect for his teammates were always on display every game night. He was full of life and had an infectious smile. He never met a stranger and after just a few minutes of speaking to him, you were sure to call him one of your friends. Among his favorite past times, he enjoyed playing his PS4 games with friends and teaching his nephew, JoJo, how to dribble a basketball. Alex enjoyed spending quality time with those he loved most.
