Who Can Apply:
- Andrew (Andy) Schultze was a beloved husband and father who passed away suddenly at fifty-seven years old.
- Andy worked in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) trade for over thirty-eight years. He started his career pushing a broom in a metal shop and worked his way up to own his own successful business for over ten years.
- Andy was kind, hardworking, humble, and respected. He enjoyed seeing young people demonstrate an interest in his lifelong profession. While he recognized trade school or college was not always a requirement to be successful in his field, he knew that education helped students learn the more technical aspects of a trade which they could then foster with on-the-job experience.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Andrew Schultze by supporting students who share his passion for the HVAC trade.
- Any mechanically inclined high school student from Suffolk County, New York, may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have at least a 2.0 GPA and if they will apply to an HVAC trade school or a college that has an HVAC program.
