Who Can Apply:
- Angela Engelson was a talented artist who brought light to the world. As the seventh of nine children raised in the 1950s, she did not have the opportunity to attend college.
- Angela worked tirelessly from a young age to support her family. After her divorce, she remarried and devoted herself to forging a close-knit blended family that included four children and seven grandchildren. Angela sadly passed away in late 2024 at the age of seventy-eight, but her legacy lives on.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Angela Engelson by supporting young women who are the first in their families to pursue a college education and are studying studio art or art history.
- Any female high school senior or undergraduate student who is a first-generation college student may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re pursuing an undergraduate degree with a major in studio art or art history.
