Who Can Apply: The Anthony R. Abraham Scholarship in the Maurice A. Ferré Institute for Civic Leadership is available to undergraduate and graduate students within the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs.
1. The scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in or accepted for admission to the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs.
2. Preference shall be given to students who have demonstrated financial need
3. Students must be US citizens, permanent residents or International on an aid eligible visa
Submission:
- All applicants must submit an essay/personal statement in which you describe your most laudable academic accomplishments, achievements, and any unique recognition awarded to you based on your academic or research performances. You may also include a statement on your personal aspirations and career goals. Include a discussion of how scholarship assistance will help your meet your goals. Remember, this is often the best opportunity to speak directly to the scholarship review committee! Please check spelling and grammar carefully before submitting your essay. Limit: 500 words.
- All applicants must submit a civic engagement essay explaining their involvement with social issues on campus or in the community during their academic careers. In your essay, please demonstrate examples of strong leadership and community service qualities. You should include your future goals in civic involvement and how you plan to be an engaged citizen. Please check spelling and grammar carefully before submitting your essay. Limit: 500 words.
- Please upload a current resume that includes your extracurricular activities, professional activities or employment experience, and community service. This is not required to continue to apply for specific opportunities, but failure to do so may exclude you from being considered for some opportunities.
- Please provide a short personal statement describing financial need.
