Who Can Apply:
- This scholarship is to encourage citizenship, philanthropy and equity among Washington County, Maryland students by providing money toward academic or certificate programs upon graduation.
- The applicant must be a high school senior in good academic standing. Must be a student whose art, charitable work, or intended career path promotes equity, diversity, inclusion, and/or justice for communities that have faced historical oppression. Applicant must have a record of philanthropic activities, dedication to community, and participate in extracurricular activities demonstarting selflessness and caring toward others in the community. Applicant should show commitment to continue philanthropic and community activities beyond high school. Character and commitment will be weighted above academic achievement.
