Who Can Apply:
- Education is not always a straightforward path, and this is often true of teen parents.
- It takes tremendous determination to succeed both in raising a child and in pursuing further education. Therefore, it is important to give teen parents the opportunity to further their education and live their dreams, while at the same time supporting students who are children of teen parents.
- The Aviance EMBRACE Scholarship seeks to support the education and success of teen-parent families. BIPOC undergraduate students are eligible to apply if they are a teen parent or the child of a teen parent.
Submission: In your application, write about how being a teen parent or being the child of a teen parent has had an impact on your goals and aspirations.
