Who Can Apply: The BASF/Alfred Chisholm Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1997 to honor the life of a former BASF employee, Alfred L. Chisholm, who served as a leader in his community, and who was instrumental in raising thousands of dollars to assist students pursuing a college degree.
The scholarship is available to undergraduate sophomore, junior and senior students enrolled at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Due to the active participation of the BASF’s African American Employees Resource Group (AAEG), their relatives or sponsored students are strongly encouraged to apply.
In addition, due to the BASF’s commitment to and relationship BASF with North Carolina A&T State University and Southern University and A&M College, students attending these institutions are also strongly encouraged to apply.
Submission:
1. One letter of recommendation: (1) from a civic or community leader.
2. A Personal Essay using no more than 250 words. For details, please go to the essay section of the application.
3. A copy of applicant’s most recent Official Transcript.
