Who Can Apply:
- Music festivals have a transformative power to foster inclusivity and self-expression, on both an individual and broader level.
- There is a mantra of Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect (PLUR) within EDM culture, which encourages everyone to be their authentic selves and to forge genuine connections with those around them. These values should be encouraged and the people who embody them should be uplifted.
- This scholarship aims to support students who find inspiration in EDM and festival culture and who are passionate about furthering their education.
- Any high school senior, trade school student, incoming college student, or current undergraduate or graduate student who is at least eighteen years old may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they enjoy EDM and music.
Submission: Submit an essay in response to one of or any combination of the following prompts:
1. What has been your favorite EDM concert or festival experience, and how has that experience affected you, your outlook, and/or your aspirations? If you have not attended an EDM concert or festival yet, what concert or festival would you like to attend, and how do you think that experience would affect you, your outlook, and/or your aspirations?
2. In what ways have you been inspired and/or impacted by EDM and/or the EDM community (you can be as specific or broad as you want, such as detailing an experience with a stranger at a festival to collaborating with an EDM music producer or DJ)?
3. Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect (PLUR) is a popular phrase in the EDM and rave community. What does PLUR mean to you, and how do you embody those values in your life and the communities you are a part of?
