Who Can Apply:
- Pursuing higher education while managing the responsibilities of adulthood can be challenging for any student. For young men who are living independently, balancing school, work, and community involvement often comes with added financial and emotional pressures.
- Financial assistance can go a long way in alleviating some of the burdens associated with independent living expenses, helping individuals succeed academically and personally by allowing them to focus more exclusively on their studies.
- The Camari Hunt 4x Foundation Independent Living Expenses Scholarship supports and empowers African-American/Black men who are striving to grow, contribute to their communities, and build strong futures while navigating the realities of living on their own.
- Any African-American and/Black male undergraduate student who is between twenty-one through twenty-five years old may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have financial need, if they live independently (without parents or guardians), and if they’re an active member of a community-based organization (e.g., youth life coach, sports coach or mentoring programs, church ministries, homeless shelters, after-school programs, other community service or leadership roles).
Submission:
- To apply, submit a personal bio, reflect on Camari Hunt and commitment to his legacy, and share what receiving this scholarship would mean to you.
- Additionally, upload a short video submission that addresses what receiving the Camari Hunt 4x Foundation Scholarship would mean to you, along with a picture of yourself.
