Who Can Apply:
- The Charm Satree Scholarship was established in 2022. Charm Satree was a pioneer in her field as a successful woman in male-dominated industries related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). One of the first female industrial arts and construction teachers in the state of Nebraska, Charm also served as a consultant for Career and Technical Education at the Nebraska Department of Education. Charm was passionate about removing barriers and supporting young women in nontraditional careers.
- To be eligible you must be a current graduating senior or former graduate from a high school in Nebraska who has maintained a 2.0 GPA and plan to attend any qualified, nonprofit 2- or 4-year college or university. Preference will be given to females with demonstrated leadership and participation school and/or community activities or work experience. Preference for females pursuing a field of study in a traditionally male-dominated field such as automotive or aviation technology, carpentry, construction, diesel or electrical technology, engineering, HVAC, machinery, manufacturing, plumbing, robotics, or welding.
Submission: High School or college transcript(s) as applicable (copies of transcripts are acceptable and Financial information that shows Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number, which is on the first page of the applicant’s FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR).
