Who Can Apply:
- Clinton Wayen Meineke was a beloved son, friend, and community member who left us September 12, 2025, just twenty days before his 29th birthday.
- Clinton had a love for all sports, but his heart was in basketball. He would watch the movie Coach Carter over and over again as a child. Unfortunately, Clinton faced many challenges in life while he was growing up. Although he wanted to pursue a secondary education or trade, life circumstances got in the way. Even though Clinton had little to nothing at different times in his life, he would always stop to help someone, and he always looked on the bright side and wanted to serve others. Clinton eventually pursued his education as a dental technician and was starting the journey to move up in the healthcare field.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Clinton Wayen Meineke by supporting students who have faced challenges and overcome adversity but are looking for a brighter future through a trade or other form of higher education.
- Any high school senior at Clinton High School in Clinton Missouri may apply for this scholarship opportunity, especially if they have fought back against adversity or recovered from tragedy, and if they will pursue college or trade school. However, applicants with work experience, volunteering experience, and/or a history of demonstrated effort and improvement scholastically are preferred.
