Who Can Apply:
- When it comes to time management, some students stand out above the rest and excel.
- With rising tuition prices and a climbing cost of living, some students have to work multiple jobs while pursuing a full-time education. While this juggling can build valuable skills like time management and work ethic, it can be challenging to succeed in school and lead a healthy life while being stretched so thin. Donna M. Umstead was an incredible mother who worked multiple jobs in order to support her sons’ higher education, passing down her drive and determination to her sons.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Donna by uplifting students who are working to put themselves through college so they have the support necessary to thrive.
- Any high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who is a full-time learner working multiple jobs may apply for this scholarship.
Submission: To apply, submit a short essay or video telling us how working while in school has affected your ability to manage your time and how your current jobs may help you in your post-graduate future.
