Who Can Apply: UNLV bound seniors living in Clark County, Nevada or current collegiate student athletes attending UNLV who are a member of their school’s baseball or softball, men’s or women’s basketball, or football team may apply for this scholarship.
Recipient is not required to play a sport in college. Student must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and plan to attend UNLV as a full-time student. One scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded and this scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years for a total of $4,000.
Submission: Essay – In 500 words, please write an essay on ONE of the following prompts: 1. During your college application process, how has your perception and/or appreciation of the role your family has played in your experience changed? 2. Share a story of a time you seized an opportunity in your life. Explain how this experience has affected your career and/or college pursuits. 3. Describe one lesson or realization you learned during your time as a student-athlete and how you applied this lesson to other areas of your life.
