Who Can Apply:
- The Drezner Family Scholarship Fund supports students at Monterey Peninsula College and Hartnell College planning to transfer into a four-year college or university in order to complete their bachelor’s degree. The Fund will award scholarships of up to $5,000 per year and may be renewable for a second year. The final award amount is determined after consideration of all sources of financial aid.
- Competitive awardees are students committed to a career in the health & human services or education field, e.g. psychology, social work, public health, medicine, teaching. We seek students who care deeply about living a life of purpose through service to others, and who are strongly motivated to be successful and make a positive difference in their community.
- Scholarship recipient(s) are chosen based on documented financial need, academic record of achievement, demonstrated leadership through their education, work experience and community service, and an essay and statement of goals and aspirations. A letter of recommendation is also required. The applicant must currently be registered as a student at either Hartnell College or Monterey Peninsula College, and planning to enroll as a full-time student at a four-year college or university in the next academic year (Fall 2022).
Submission: Please submit one letter of recommendation from an individual who is familiar with your capabilities and qualities (academic, leadership, character, community service, motivation, etc)
