Who Can Apply: This $1,500 scholarship was established in memory of Glenn and Katherine Waite who cared deeply for their local community and believed in helping others. Of particular interest was helping those who had been dealt a more challenging hand in life. This scholarship is for a student who has been faced with atypical personal or family challenges but has managed to overcome such obstacles and strives to achieve a higher education.
• GPA at time of application: 2.75+
• High School Requirement: Attended El Dorado High School at least 2 years
• Other: For a student who faces a challenge in life, meets the challenge and has a strong desire for higher education.
• Other: Applicant must demonstrate that they have taken a challenging schedule such as advanced or AP classes, involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, part-time job, etc. .
