Who Can Apply: The Edward G. Irvin Scholarship is provided by the Chicago (IL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. It is awarded annually to graduating black male seniors and is designed to supplement some of the student’s extra collegiate expense, like books and fees.
- Open to graduating Chicagoland high school males of African-American descent ONLY
- Minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0
- ACT/SAT test score requirement has been waived this year
- Active participation in extracurricular activities and/or community service programs
Submission:
- Required Essay: “Why should you be considered to be a recipient of the Edward G. Irvin Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship?” (300 word minimum)
- Please provide a brief autobiography (300 word maximum)
