- Everett J. Collins Jr. was a beloved father who worked passionately as a music educator for forty-six years.
- Everett played professionally with popular music groups such as the Isley Brothers and R&B Group Surface. Even after retirement, Mr. Collins still taught music privately in his music school in Virginia and also in his home. Music had an incredible impact on Everett’s life and the lives of his family members.
- This scholarship seeks to support students who share Everett’s love for music as they pursue higher education.
- Any high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is or will be majoring in music may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
Submission: To apply, write an essay about how music has made a difference in your life and how you plan to make an impact on the world through music. You may also submit a video of you playing music.
