Award Is Open To: HS Seniors
Majors/Fields of Study: All Majors
Residency: Florida and must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen.
Other Comments: Funded by the state’s lottery, the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program is comprised of these three awards: Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) award – including Academic Top Scholars (ATS) award; Florida Medallion Scholars (FMS) award; and Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars (GSV) award. Who Is Eligible?
Award Is Open To: African-American, Hispanic-American, Asian-American, and Native American students who have earned at least 60 credits or an AA degree, and who have a cumulative GPA of 2.5. See website for more details.

Residency: Florida and must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen.
Other Comments: After graduation the student must teach at a Florida public school; one year for every year the award was received.

Florida Public Postsecondary Career Education Student Assistance Grant Program

Who Is Eligible?
Award Is Open To: Residents of Florida who are enrolled in certificate programs of 450 or more clock hours at participating community colleges or career centers operated by district school boards.
Majors/Fields of Study: Any;
Residency: Florida and must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen.
Other Comments: For renewal the student must meet certain credit hour guidelines and have earned a GPA of at least 2.0.

Award Is Open To: If you are an undergraduate attending a non-profit Florida college or university, then you may be eligible for this award.

Other Comments: Grants are awarded to Florida residents of Spanish culture, who were born in or have a natural parent who was born in either Mexico

Ethnicity/Heritage: African American

Other Comments: This scholarship is awarded to minority students who are direct descendants of the incident in 1923. Proof must be provided. Applicant must be enrolled a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0.

Amount: Up to full tuition and fees;

Who Is Eligible?
Award Is Open To: All students who meet eligibility requirements. See website link below.
Majors/Fields of Study: Any;
GPA: 2.0
Residency: The veteran must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen. And they must have been a Florida resident for one year immediately preceding time of death, determination of 100% disability, or prisoner of war/missing in action classification. The child or spouse must be a Florida resident and a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
Other Comments: These scholarships are for dependent children or unremarried spouses of Florida veterans who died as a result of service-connected injuries, diseases, or disabilities sustained while on active duty or who have been certified by the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs as having service-connected 100% permanent and total disabilities. The scholarships also provide funds for dependent children whose parent is classified as a prisoner of war or missing in action by the Armed Forces of the United States or as civilian personnel captured while serving with the consent or authorization of the United States government during wartime service.
