Other Comments: Academic Excellence Scholarships are awarded to Wisconsin high school seniors who have the highest grade point average in each public and private high school throughout the State of Wisconsin. Please visit the website listed for more information.

Higher Education Grants Program

Who Is Eligible?
Award Is Open To: All Undergrads, Vocational Students
Majors/Fields of Study: Vocational/Technical, Education
Residency: Wisconsin
Student Plans To Attend: University of Wisconsin
Other Comments: Applicants must be at least half-time students at the University of Wisconsin, or at Wisconsin State Vocational-Technical or Adult Education Programs. Applicants must be in need of financial aid and must demonstrate scholastic excellence. Grants are renewable for up to ten semesters.

Hearing and Visually Handicapped Student Grant

Amount: Between $250 and $1,800;

Who Is Eligible?
Award Is Open To: All Undergrads, College Graduate Students
Majors/Fields of Study: All Majors
Disabilities: Hearing Impaired, Visually Impaired
Residency: Wisconsin
Other Comments: The Handicapped Student Grant Program was established to provide funding for undergraduate Wisconsin residents, enrolled at in-state or eligible out-of-state public or independent institutions who show financial need and have a severe or profound hearing or visual impairment.

Indian Student Assistance Grants

The Award Is: Based on financial need and renewable.
Who Is Eligible?
Award Is Open To: College Graduate Students, All Undergrads
Majors/Fields of Study: All Majors
Ethnicity/Heritage: Native American
Residency: Wisconsin
Student Attends School In: Wisconsin
Other Comments: Residents of Wisconsin with a quarter or more Native American blood or tribal or band certification (with an appropriate Native American agency) are eligible to apply. Recipients must be accepted for enrollment in an eligible Wisconsin institution of higher education. Grants are renewable for up to five years and include graduate study.

Talent Incentive Program

Majors/Fields of Study: All Majors
Other Comments: The Talent Incentive Program (TIP) Grant provides grant assistance to the most financially needy and educationally disadvantaged Wisconsin resident students attending colleges and universities in the State of Wisconsin. First-time freshmen students are nominated for the TIP Grant by the school financial aid offices or by counselors of the Wisconsin Educational Opportunity Programs (WEOP). Student Attends School In: Wisconsin
Other Comments: The Wisconsin Tuition Grant (WTG) Program provides grant assistance to undergraduate, Wisconsin residents enrolled at least half-time in degree or certificate programs at non-profit, independent colleges or universities based in Wisconsin. Awards are based on financial need and partially based on that portion of tuition in excess of UW – Madison tuition. The maximum award amount is established annually by HEAB. Eligibility cannot exceed ten semesters.

Other Comments: Awards under this program are made to Wisconsin resident minority undergraduates, excluding first year students, enrolled at least half-time in independent or Wisconsin Technical College institutions. Please visit the website listed for more information.
