She was a lifelong member of Beulah Baptist Church of Deanwood Heights, where she served faithfully, mentoring generations through her wisdom and compassion. As an educator and community advocate, she dedicated her life to uplifting others and believed deeply in the power of education to change lives.
- This scholarship aims to honor the legacy of Mrs. Marion Makins by supporting students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership in their communities or churches, and a passion for service.
- Any high school senior or undergraduate student who has at least a 2.75 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are active in church, community service, or volunteering programs, if they’ve demonstrated financial need, and if they’re a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
