- Students with disabilities are often placed at a disadvantage in the academic sphere due to a lack of accommodations in school.
- The unique physical or mental needs of students with disabilities often aren’t met in their schools. From ramps to counselors to one-on-one classes, the accessibility tools that students with disabilities would benefit from often aren’t provided. As a result, students with disabilities have to work harder than their peers just to complete their education.
- This scholarship seeks to support students with disabilities so they can stay motivated throughout their educational journey and complete their degrees.
- Any high school or undergraduate student in Mississippi who has a disability may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
