Who Can Apply:
- The Greg Bartholomew Memorial Scholarship honors an exceptional concrete paving professional who advanced his father’s legacy and inspired countless young engineers through his mentorship, dedication, and craftsmanship. To continue that spirit of guidance and opportunity, Granite Construction and Teichert Construction will award $2,500 annually for the next two years to students pursuing careers in concrete paving. Eligible applicants include apprenticeship school or academy students focused on concrete paving, as well as college undergraduates studying civil engineering in California, Nevada, or Greg’s home state of Utah. Applicants are encouraged to share their career goals and any family connections to the concrete paving profession.
- Any high school graduate with a 3.0 min. GPA who is enrolled in higher education (two- or four-year college or university) civil engineering program, or an apprenticeship school/academy program may apply for this scholarship if they are pursuing concrete paving or civil engineering. Applicants must be enrolled in an educational program in California, Nevada, or Utah.
Submission: To apply, provide your response to the essay prompt below. Additionally, please submit two letters of recommendation from individuals (e.g., teacher, counselor, coach, employer, etc.) who are not related to you and who can attest to your leadership ability and interest in public service.
