Who Can Apply: The Guinan Family Second Chance Scholarship was established by Dick and Theresa Guinan in 2021 to create a second chance opportunity for single parents or the formerly incarcerated who are re-entering the community. The scholarship can be used for GED expenses in addition to credit programs. This scholarship can be used for tuition, fees, books, and supplies.
- Students must have declared a program of study (either an associate degree or certificate)
- All MCC students (first-time or continuing MCC students)
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 to 3.0 and must maintain a minimum 2.0 during scholarship
- Financial need is required, as determined by MCC Financial Aid through completion of FAFSA
