Who Can Apply:
- Ian Everts was a beloved husband who passed away in early 2024 after an incredible life and a career as a maintenance manager for a power plant.
- Ian had many technical certifications and abilities, and believed that students who are interested in the trades should be encouraged just as much as their peers who are interested in attending university. While many students who plan to pursue a traditional college degree are met with enthusiasm from family, friends, teachers, and counselors, there often isn’t similar encouragement given to students who want to pursue a vocation.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Ian Everts by supporting students interested in the trades so they can become whoever they want to be.
- Any high school senior at Walnut High School in California may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they plan to attend a technical or trade school. Winners will need to provide proof of enrollment in a technical or trade school to receive the scholarship.
