Who Can Apply:
- Ida Nicholson was an amazing woman who lived to be 104 years old. She was affectionately known as (Mama-sista). She was very loving and kind to everyone she encountered. She was a pillar of strength in her community, well respected, and known for her charitable deeds.
- She showed love by the way she lived her life. Her life impacted many, both young and old. She was a philanthropist, a nurturer, and a caretaker to many who were in need. Ida loved to dance, tell jokes, eat ice cream, and watch Judge Judy. She was an incredible woman who lived a full life.
- The Ida Nicholson104 Memorial Scholarship exists to honor her life by helping a female student with a financial need. Families growing up in the inner city may have limited income, which makes this mission especially important. Through this scholarship, women studying in New York City get an opportunity to fund their education.
