- Jennifer Hartwig was a beloved cousin who recently passed away at the age of 40 after a battle with colon cancer.
- Jennifer loved writing and enjoyed sports. She was a strong woman who visited many states to try and solve the underlying riddle of how to beat stage four after she was diagnosed. Jen was a fighter and an amazing woman, wife, and mother, leaving behind two children.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Jennifer Hartwig by supporting students who share her love for journalism and sports.
- Any high school or undergraduate student who is a hard worker with at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship if they’re pursuing sports or journalism.
