- Jonathan “Jonny” Cardoso Barbosa passed away too soon but left behind a legacy of empowering the next generation to thrive and make a lasting impact in their communities.
- Jonny lived with perseverance and passion, devoting himself to whatever he put his mind to and investing time and effort for the betterment of his community. It’s important for the next generation of young boys to employ a similar attitude, whether they’re setting their sights on higher education, a trade, or launching a business.
- This scholarship seeks to uplift young men who embody Jonny’s spirit of grit and impact by providing financial support to help them realize their future goals.
- Any male, BIPOC high school senior who is a Massachusetts resident may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but applicants from Boston are preferred.
