Who Can Apply:
- Jonathan Tang was a fun, kind man who passed away too soon. He had a zest for life and a passion for many things such as martial arts, camping, hiking, rock climbing, cooking, kickball, and science fiction.
- When he was 16, Jon battled and overcame leukemia, going on to become a talented and respected engineer who earned his MBA at his alma mater and worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. He was purely genuine, fiercely loyal, and extremely punctual. He was loved by many and touched countless lives with his smile, his humor, and his kindness. Jon was always referred to as the “glue” that bonded everyone together. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, or tell a funny joke to crack a smile.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Jonathan Tang by supporting students who have experience with cancer or other chronic health conditions.
- Any high school senior who has experienced struggles with mental health may apply for this scholarship.
