Who Can Apply:
- It’s important for students to know that education after high school is possible and doesn’t have to be a one-size-fits-all experience.
- The average student today is often encouraged to attend a four-year college and little consideration is given to community colleges, vocational schools, or other programs offering training in the trades. When students don’t know all of their options, it’s difficult to make the best choice for their future. Many students who would thrive in a vocational school may forego post-secondary education altogether due to feeling like the traditional path of attending a university isn’t the right fit for them.
- This scholarship aims to encourage students to pursue whatever form of higher education they feel called to so they can find fulfillment in their careers.
- Any high school senior at A. Philip Randolph Career and Technical High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’ve been accepted to a two or four-year college or a trade school.
