- On May 24th, 2022, Jackie Cazares was tragically killed in the Robb Elementary School shooting.
- Jackie always held a deep passion for animals, and her desire to help them led her to dream of becoming a veterinarian. Jackie found solace and joy in the presence of animals, their innocence and unconditional love captivating her heart. Jackie’s dream was fueled by her belief that every animal deserves the same love and care as any other living being.
- This scholarship aims to honor the life of Jackie Cazares and keep her dreams alive by supporting students who are pursuing careers as veterinarians.
- Any current student who is pursuing a career in veterinary medicine may apply for this scholarship opportunity. One winner will be awarded nationally, one winner will be selected from the state of Texas, and one winner will be chosen from Uvalde, Texas.
