Les Dames d’Escoffier is a philanthropic society of women leaders working in food, fine beverage and hospitality fields. The society is comprised of 27 chapters in the U.S. and Canada. Many LDEI chapters award educational scholarships to women studying in the aforementioned fields.
Les Dames d’Escoffier says it has collectively raised and awarded more than $4,000,000 in culinary scholarships to date.
Again, the society awards scholarships at the chapter level and not all chapters offer scholarships. Those that do select recipients based on their own criteria. A common thread, of course, is that students are women involved in hospitality and/or culinary endeavors.
If you think that you might want to apply for a LDEI scholarship then click here to see which chapters offer scholarship. The list includes contact information too. The chapters offering scholarships typically do so on a geographic basis.
LDEI recommends that culinary students visit the Culinary Trust website at www.iacpfoundation.org. This organization awards students on behalf of the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
