Who Can Apply:
- All students should be able to pursue the degrees of their dreams, but students with disabilities often don’t benefit from the same opportunities as their peers, making it difficult to pursue higher education.
- Many K-12 schools lack the resources and accommodations necessary to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. From a lack of ramps and other accessibility features to limited individualized instruction to inadequate protection from bullying and beyond, many schools don’t offer students the opportunity to maximize their learning. As a result, some students may lose their passion for school and may forego their pursuit of higher education.
- This scholarship aims to support students with disabilities as they pursue their dreams of post-secondary education.
- Any high school senior in Maine who has an identified disability (intellectual, cognitive, emotional, physical, etc.) may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
