Who Can Apply:
- Miss Laura was a performer, a teacher, a mentor, a second mom, and a strong woman who had a gift for making everyone who walked through her doors feel at home.
- Miss Laura’s studio was never just a place to take a class; it was a place to grow, to learn, and to discover a love and passion for dance that stayed with students for life. She welcomed every dancer as they were, and helped them become who they were meant to be. Miss Laura was a trusted guide to her students, inspiring them, providing unconditional love, and empowering them to take control of their futures.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Miss Laura by supporting students who have the heart and talent to grow, but not the means to pay their way.
- Any high school senior or undergraduate student in Nassau County may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are majoring in dance and if they display a genuine passion and dedication for dance, shown through years of commitment. While financial need is considered and can strengthen an application, it is not required.
Submission: To apply, tell us how dance and your time at your studio have impacted who you are, and how you’ll carry that passion forward. Additionally, upload images that show your dance experience, such as team photos or performances.
