Who Can Apply:
- Accounting is an important field filled with skilled experts, but there is room for progress in the field, starting with diversifying the rising generations of accountants.
- There is an underrepresentation of both women and people of color in the accounting industry, leading many clients to not feel seen. As women become increasingly financially independent, earn higher incomes, and start businesses of their own, many are looking for accountants who understand them and validate their experiences rather than patronizing them.
- This scholarship seeks to create a more cohesive and diverse workforce in the finance field by making higher education more accessible.
- Any female, BIPOC high school senior who is a New York resident studying accounting may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
