- As the world becomes increasingly reliant on the innovations and discoveries made in STEM industries, it is crucial to continue STEM excellence by supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Limited gender diversity in many STEM fields limits the perspectives and ideas brought to the table. Continuing to grow and improve all areas of STEM requires uplifting and empowering women so they can access the education and spaces they need to enter STEM careers.
- This scholarship seeks to support young women in order to pay forward the love, kindness, and joy that Otto brought to the world every day.
- Any female high school senior in Oregon (preferably in the Portland metro area), who is pursuing STEM with a 2.75 to 3.5 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
