Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship (Deadline: May 2, 2016

Who Can Apply: The Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship is open to all current high school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores and juniors (ages 27 and younger) who demonstrate an active commitment to fighting AIDS and taking on roles of public service and leadership, and who plan to continue to find ways to make a difference in the epidemic through their careers or through public service opportunities after their education is complete.

Scholarship Amount: $2,500 – $5,000

Number of Scholarships Offered: 5

Deadline: May 2nd, 2016 – Application and Brief Personal Statement
May 27th, 2016 – Full submission – Essay, Letter(s) of Recommendation and Transcript

Other Notes: Since 2009 we have awarded a total of $100,000 in scholarships to 40 emerging young leaders in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Scholarships generally range from $2,500 to $5,000 but 2015 marked the largest annual distribution of funds. A total of $40,000 was awarded to six students, two of whom are receiving $5,000 awards in both 2015 and 2016.
