- Reese McGee was a beloved little brother who left this world on Sunday, April 28, 2024, due to an epileptic seizure.
- Reese was diagnosed with epilepsy when he started having sudden seizures at the age of seventeen. This diagnosis didn’t stop him from living a truly incredible life, but it did make endeavors like education harder to navigate and access. When Reese passed away, he was in the process of obtaining his degree in cybersecurity and had just built his own computer using what he had learned in computer labs at his school.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the young life of Reese McGee by supporting students with epilepsy as they pursue their educational goals.
- Any high school or undergraduate student who has been diagnosed with epilepsy may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but applicants who are pursuing computer science, technology, IT, cybersecurity, etc. are preferred.
