Who Can Apply:
- With the rising costs of college education, many young students find themselves reliant on financial assistance.
- Unfortunately, the financial aid system has many gaps. From often providing insufficient aid to recipients to leaving some students ineligible for aid altogether, FAFSA and other government assistance don’t go far enough and leave many students without the help they need to afford college and achieve their goals.
- This scholarship aims to encourage students to further their studies by providing the financial support they need to do so.
- Any high school senior who is a California resident with at least a 3.5 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they will attend college, university, or technical school and if they are involved in an extracurricular activity (sports, clubs, work, etc.). However, applicants who have a completed Financial Snapshot as part of their profile are preferred.
Submission: To apply, tell us about the circumstances that have led you to pursue education without financial assistance and how this experience has impacted your sense of responsibility, independence, and future goals.
