- However, many factors affect each student’s level of access to the world of academia. Underrepresented minorities, first-generation students, and learners from low-income backgrounds each face unique struggles when applying for, paying for, and succeeding in college.
- This scholarship aims to support young women as they prepare to finish their high school years and begin college.
- Any Hispanic female high school student in Illinois may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but applicants with financial need and community service experience who will be first-generation college students are preferred.
