There is the prestigious, $10,000 Vanguard Minority Scholarship Program, the Barbara Lotze Scholarship for Future Teachers, and the Brain Track Teaching Scholarship.
1. Vanguard Minority Scholarship Program: $10,000
Do you have the drive and ambition to excel in the business world, but lack the cash for education? This scholarship is open to student of racial or ethnic minority, entering their junior or senior year of college. The goal is to remove any financial barriers from students that demonstrate superb academics and a strong leadership potential. Students must be enrolled in college full-time. They are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and major in Accounting, Economics, business, or finance. Application deadline: See Website.
2. Barbara Lotze Scholarships for Future Teachers: $2,000
Dream of becoming a teacher? Have that brain for Science? Undergraduates studying physics or high school seniors intending on teaching high school physics can apply for this stipend. All applications are reviewed by the AAPT (American Association of Physics Teachers) Executive Board. All application materials and recommendations must be received by the deadline stated on the website.
3. BrainTrack Teaching Scholarship: $500 – $1,000
You don’t necessarily need to teach high school, or be a science whiz to receive a nice stipend. Any college student intending on teaching anywhere from Kindergarten to twelfth grade can apply. Current College students studying towards a teaching degree must respond to the essay questions geared towards evaluating teaching as a potential career path.
