Who Can Apply: If you are a Virginia resident who is in 11-12th grade, or graduated in the past year, and plan to enter the woodworking, carpentry, or construction management field, create a video (under 4 minutes in length) explaining why you want to pursue a career in the skilled trades, and how education will help you achieve these goals.
Submission:
- Tell us a bit about yourself, the trade you are entering and why you wish to attend the school of your choice
- Describe what you are passionate about and what you have already done to help uplift society
- Tell us what you believe our scholarship could help you achieve
- Bonus points will be awarded if you have a significant project completed or in progress such as something you have built, formal design/planning documents, CAD drawings, a construction plan, or have participated in a Habitat for Humanity, Building Goodness, Eagle Scout project, etc.
