Who Can Apply:
- Skip Veeder passed away from leukemia in 2012, but his memory lives on in the Christmas tree farm he used to own.
- This tree farm holds an annual 5k race that raises money to fund leukemia research. In his memory, this race helps honor his life while also supporting causes that seek to help others who suffer from leukemia. The Skip Veeder Memorial Scholarship will support a student athlete who has shown devotion to their community and strives to embody strong values.
- High school seniors and undergraduate students are eligible to apply if they are student athletes who have experience volunteering or doing community service. Preference will be given to students who enjoy running, participate in track and field and/or run marathons.
