Who Can Apply:
- Preference will be given to instructors teaching at primarily undergraduate institutions (PUIs) or community colleges, but all U.S-based curricular innovators are welcome to apply.
- Faculty members who have developed, piloted, deployed, and documented significant curricular innovations involving the fundamental tenets of green chemistry and/or sustainability are eligible. Curricula can include material for teaching at the undergraduate level in traditional lecture classes, laboratory classes, and/or other non-traditional modes of instruction if student success has been demonstrated convincingly. Preference will be given to teaching materials for the gateway courses (general and organic chemistry), but all undergraduate course innovations will be considered. Award winners are required to attend the annual GC&E conference and give oral and/or poster presentations about their work.
Submission: Applications will open in June 2023 and applicants may apply using the ACS Green Chemistry Institute application portal. To use the portal you will need to have or create a free ACS ID.
