Who Can Apply:
- Teria Onwuaduegbo was a beloved daughter and sister who tragically passed away at a young age but managed to inspire her family and loved ones in her short life.
- Teria studied mathematics at Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. Many young women share Teria’s passion for STEM and follow in her footsteps by enrolling in STEM-based academic programs. Unfortunately, women are a minority in STEM-focused classrooms, extracurriculars, and professions. Black women, at the intersection of both racial and gender-based discrimination, are particularly underrepresented.
- This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Teria Onwuaduegbo by encouraging women to follow in her footsteps and tackle their dreams regardless of the obstacles in front of them.
- Any Black female undergraduate student who is pursuing computer science, mathematics, or engineering may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
