Who Can Apply:
- Intimate partner violence (IPV) is an occurrence that plagues society and affects millions of people every year in the United States alone.
- IPV can take many forms, from physical abuse to psychological torment to stalking. This violence can be difficult to escape, as perpetrators may isolate their victims from friends and family. Additional circumstances, such as financial struggles, lack of citizenship, or parenting duties, can make it even more difficult for a survivor to escape their relationship.
- This scholarship aims to empower survivors of intimate partner violence so they can thrive and achieve their dreams.
- Any current undergraduate, trade school, or graduate student or high school senior accepted into an accredited college, university, or trade school may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have at least a 3.5 GPA, if they have a history of community service or volunteer work, and if they’re a survivor of intimate partner violence.
Submission: To apply, tell us how you think education can help reduce intimate partner violence and how you plan to create positive change through your education. You have the ability to hide your essay from public view and keep the application private. You are also not required to have a photo on your profile. Additionally, the creator of this scholarship will honor the winner’s choice to remain anonymous in any public award notification.
