Who Can Apply:
- Children and teens in foster care often face struggles that other students don’t have to worry about.
- From losing parents to experiencing trauma to being split up from siblings to not having a permanent home, students in foster care often aren’t able to fully focus on their studies. Foster students are more likely to drop out of school and are less likely to complete a college degree due to the obstacles they face.
- This scholarship seeks to support students in foster care throughout higher education and to encourage them to pursue their dreams.
- Any high school senior or undergraduate student in North Carolina who is in foster care currently, or has been previously, may apply for this scholarship.
