Who Can Apply:
- Wendell and Gwendolyn Clement, who were both educators, believed strongly that education helps students become better citizens, get higher paying jobs and that education fosters personal growth and lifelong learning.
- The Clements viewed a college education as extremely important for closing the achievement and wealth gaps, especially for African-American students. The achievement gap is not only a problem for the Black community, but also affects the well-being of the entire country.
- To promote the education of Black students, the Wendell and Gwendolyn Clement Scholarship will support an African-American undergraduate student at Ohio State University who has a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
